The Times News Presents:

Satellite is a highly entertaining and versatile twelve piece ensemble that is part of the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band from Langley AFB, VA.  The unit's mission is to organize, train and deploy professional Airman musicians, harnessing the power of music to inspire immediate, positive, and long-lasting impressions of the United States Air Force and the United States of America in the hearts and minds of audiences worldwide.  Satellite's mission entertains with the American musical art forms of jazz, blues and funk; the band features repertoire from the great jazz masters, such as Oscar Peterson, Miles Davis, Chick Corea, The Yellowjackets, Charlie Parker,and Herbie Hancock and countless others.  The ensemble also pays tribute to the Big Band leaders of the swing era, such as Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and Glenn Miller. In addition their fabulous vocalists SSgt Natalie Madison and SSgt Andre Rascoe entertain with musical gems from vocal jazz greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Cab Calloway, Frank Sinatra, Diane Schuur and many more. Bringing you great jazz from the USAF Heritage of America Band, lead by Master Sergeant Allen Wittig we hope you enjoy the musical talent of Satellite!
