Here comes another first timer for Penn’s Peak, Sammy Kershaw!!

Sammy, with his soulful voice, helped make the ‘90’s a shining decade for country music.  He was the oldest of 4 kids and was already hard at work in the club and honky tonk circuit at the age of 12.  He was born and raised on a diet of crawfish and country music with a huge emphasis on George Jones.  He has often been referred to as the heir apparent to George Jones.  In his hometown of Kaplan, LA, Sammy has established The Sammy Kershaw Foundation.  It is an organization to gather donations for children and child related charities.  Sammy is a softie when it comes to kids though, and the more than $2 million he has raised so far, proves it.  He also has a number of platinum albums due to the success of his hits such as “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “I Can’t Reach Her Anymore,” “National Working Woman’s Holiday” and “Love of My Life.”  This is why he remains one of the most consistent power hitters in country music.
