Get in line for tickets now because Rick Springfield is coming back to Penn’s Peak!!

Rick Springfield has had quite the musical and theatrical career, with no end in sight!  He received his first guitar at the young age of 13 and nothing has stood in his way.  Two years later, he started his own band and 45 years later, he is still performing music and touring the world.

In the middle of his musical years, Rick broke into television taking on acting roles in Rockford Files, Wonder Woman and even Battlestar Galactica.  He never quit the music though and began writing what would become his Working Class Dog album.  During the writing of this album he signed on in his most famous role to date, General Hospital’s Dr. Noah Drake.  Fortunately for Rick, but unfortunately for his legions of Dr. Noah Drake fans, Working Class Dog went multi-platinum with Rick winning a Grammy for Best Male Vocal performance for his #1 hit “Jessie’s Girl,” and this caused him to have to leave General Hospital to attend to his crazy touring schedule.

The hits and the awards continue to come, but Rick decided he needed to take a break from music.  He began work on some TV movies, but after a friends repeated urging, Rick ventured out on a short summer club tour.  His longtime fans greeted him with open arms and Rick loved it, but he was not quite ready for music again.  He signed on for a TV series called High Tide, which was originally being shot in New Zealand.  After the third and final season, Rick was eager to get back to his music and his fans.  In 2000 he signed on to star in the Las Vegas show EFX.  The MGM Grand renamed the show EFX Alive in honor of Rick and he penned 2 original tunes for the show.  Two years later, he closed his EFX Alive run on NYE and hit the ground running, yet again, for his music.  In the years following, he released a few more albums, a double disc anthology, embarked on another tour and returned to General Hospital as Dr. Noah Drake for 4 episodes.  The next few years were even more action packed for Rick with various television appearances, more album releases, a book release, a return to his native Australia and even the inaugural Rick Springfield and Friends Cruise.  Rick is an extremely busy entertainer, but it has benefitted him when you take into account his 17 Top 40 Hits and 20 million records and counting!!
