Railroad Earth with their eclectic sound will once again be playing at Penn’s Peak!!

It was just in January of this year that Railroad Earth played at Penn’s Peak, but I am sure their loyal followers are ready for some more!  Railroad Earth has that unique sound that other bands strive to achieve.  Ask them what they call it and you will get 6 blank stares.  They do not care what their music is labeled as (jam band, bluegrass with drums, souped up string band) they just enjoy playing it. 

Railroad Earth consists of 6 guys who love to play acoustic music.  They could never seem to get their timing down when they could all play together though.  When they finally did manage to all hook up, the end result was a 5-song demo which they recorded in just 2 days.  Next thing they know, they were being asked to play at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.  Railroad Earth had not even played a gig together and they were being asked to play a huge festival.  They quickly recorded 5 more songs and all 10 were released as their debut album, The Black Bear Sessions.  The band has acquired quite a following over the years.  Their fans follow them from show to show and the band has a very liberal taping policy which all fans thoroughly enjoy!
